Our Customized Wedding Card

Been really busy with work, wedding preparations and the flea market sale! Need a break... exhausted giler! So, when Thaipusam holiday came.. Yeay, can relax at home.. That's what I thought! Instead, my bro-in-law called us up for a session of customizing our WEDDING CARDS.. Bestnye, how can I say NO to that...
Went to his office.. sat with his designer... Khairul and I took turns commenting on our wedding cards.. Telling the designer how we want it to look.. nak kerawang la, nak font macam nie la, nak senget sket la... macam2 la mintak, padahal FREE! hahaha.. Lama jugak la we were there, sempat main hide-n-seek and colouring with my nephews lagi.. comel! At the end of the day, we were satisfied with the sample result... Simple yet elegant la.. Suit us perfectly.. echeh!! 
Just a moment ago, my bro-in-law called up and said, the card is off to the printing factory... waaa, can't wait!! .... Alamak, now kene start collecting addresses plak... hemm, the work goes on and on..

My Flea Market

My sister and I are organizing a flea market in USJ, Subang Jaya. Actually, this is our 2nd time organizing such an event. Details as follows :
Date : 2nd Febuary 2008 (Saturday)
Time : 10 am - 7pm
Venue : Club House, Subang Perdana Goodyear Court 9, Subang Jaya (map attached)
Interested participants will have to email their NAME, CONTACT INFO, ITEMS THEY WISH TO SELL (eg. clothes, books) to laney_thatshop@yahoo.com ASAP to secure a spot. Registration fee is RM30 only. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! Bring your own chairs, tables, etc as they are not provided.
As for now, we already have participants that will be selling cakes, cupcakes, dadih (yogurt), home deco stuff, drinks, handmade chocolates, handbags, clothes, kids' clothing, fruits and more... So, come and join the FUN!! See u there yah..
p/s : I found this funny poster on the internet which is cool! Tot of naming it Lina and Khairul's Wedding Fund. hahaha...

FITTING @ BOUTIQUE CHANTEK

I really love the work of Kak Laily from Boutique Chantek, Shah Alam. Her pelamin is soooo beautifully decorated, room decorations is soo lovely and her gubahan hantaran is soo exclusive. The same can be said about her MAKEUP.. Lovely!
For my wedding, I chose Boutique Chantek as my "mak-andam". Although I love her pelamins, sadly to say that she will not be doing that. My pelamin will be done by the hotel..  huhu.. x dapat nak merasa!
But for makeup, my baju pengantin for both sides and photography will be done by Kak Laily.. 
Had the fitting the other day.. I tried on about 5 pairs baju pengantin with my fiance before we decided on 2 pairs..
The first i tried was this gorgeous purple kain songket with a matching purple corset which is also in songket and the top is a purple lace. I really love this one, but it's a bit TOO SEXY.. My fiance quickly strike-off this one! hem...
The 2nd one was this dark purple songket tabur.. which is really lovely... My fiance looks really handsome (eceh!) in that... But the design on the songket was tooo much..
The 3rd was this wild red lace baju pengantin.. full of sequins... The dress is lovely but lookes too MUCH for me.. and the colour does NOT suit me.. It looked like we're gonna celebrate Chinese New Year or something.. ang-ang lorr...
The 4th baju was a dark maroon songket tabur which we had it reserved earlier.. We first saw the baju in a Boutique Chantek ad in a magazine. It's really simple actually. But really suited my wedding theme which is TRADITIONAL MALAY.. Kak Laily said that she'll add on the traditional Malay accessories for me (cucuk sanggul, necklace, etc) then it'll looked GRAND.. WAAAA!!!! My fiance will be wearing the same thing, dark maroon songket tabur with tanjak and all... Sure handsome punyalah!! The worker told my fiance that, he'll look like a PAHLAWAN MELAYU MUALAF... hahahahaha... (bet becoz of his sepet eyes!! hahahah..) This baju is a definite YES!!
The 5th baju was this cream baju pengantin with purple flowers all over it.. It's really sweet! Actually, Kak Laily chose this baju for me. It fit me well.. After I got out from the changing room, my fiance smiled and said, this is the ONE! I guess he's happy with the way i look in that.. So, we chose this one also for Majlis Bertandang!! Confirmed  Khairul will be wearing a cream baju melayu with purple songket..
Can't wait to try on those baju again...

SHOPPING LIST

It's 3 months, 1 week and 2 days till my wedding.. and I'm getting all excited already!!
So far, my fiance and I will take regular trips to Nilai 3.. sometimes just buying 2 items at one visit.. We always tell ourselves, lambat lagi, xpayah la beli lagi.. and NOW, it's 3 months away and i think we have quite a lot to buy lagi la...
So far, we've bought :
1) Bunga pahar
- this is the first thing we bought bcoz we were at Nilai 3 at that time and it was on SALE!! (go figure) Just had to buy them right away... Bought it in maroon for my side and purple to bring to Khairul's bertandang nanti.. (I only know that during majlis bertandang, the girl side have to bring bunga pahar --> ikut adat kot!) And my dear angels, Shyra and Aleen told me that they will help out in rebus-ing and even put red coluring on the telur for my bunga pahar... Glad to have friends like this.. Thanks baybehs..
2) Wedding Cards
- my brother-in-law had told us that he'll be sponsoring our wedding cards.. (he has a printing company) but later on, he was offered a painting assignment (and he is also an artist - he paints the murals in ships eg.Star Cruise) at Bahrain for 6 months. My fiance and i dah ter-cuakss and we went and bought the wedding cards ourselves.. (the cover only, without inlay) My bro-in-law decided not to take the offer after all.. and when he found out we already bought the cards, he went ballistic! hahaha... we had to pujuk him by offering him to design the inlays for us.. hahaha... padan muka!!Note to self : Jangan cepat cuaks!!
3) Bekas Cincin - for Khairul
- i found this cute tiny chestbox that is suitable to be used as a bekas cincin.. So I got one!! Cincin pun x beli lagi... heheh
4) Kasut Nikah
- this is actually a birthday gift from dear sister, Fara. Saje chose this elegant white heels to match my baju nikah.. (alaar, dalam masjid kene bukak kasut la.. )
5) Flower Girl Baskets
- bought these from Nilai 3. Small and handy... with no decorations at all.. thought of just glueing some tiny flowers on them.. Simple and sweet!
6) Flower Girl's Flower Ribbons Head Bands
- my mom bought these from Malacca.. they're sooo adorable.. i really like it!! curik2 pakai sometimes... feel like a princess wearing them..
7) Bunga Dulang
- 10 sweet pinky bunga dulang i bought at Kompleks PKNS, Shah Alam at a good price!
 Hantaran
- at first, we've decided NOT to have another round of these.. It's very troublesome and also a waste of MONEY... True enough!! But then, we decided to have them anyway, just for iring cincin la.. so the hantaran stuff will just be plain simple.. no fancy stuff.. so far, my mom bought me a very FANCY LACY WHITE PHOTO ALBUM, sepasang kain to make baju batik (stylish!) and a huge POT of POT-PURRIS.. i bought him COLOGNE (later thought nak put together with a TOWEL).. other hantaran plans are still blury..
9) Corsages
- bought 30 corsages specially for my families.. they're in MAROON to fit my GOLD+MAROON theme...
Actually, we've bought quite a lot of stuff already la.. Only thing that's left are stuff like alas dulang (which i plan to just rent la.. )...
Did i left anything out? What else to buy aaaa?

SALE!

During lunchtime, my assistant and I went to Kompleks PKNS for some window shopping.. The rule is NOT to BUY anything.. simple as that..
But girls will be girls.. as soon we got there, we started wandering to every shop at sight.. hahah! I managed to control my eagerness to buy something, until i found this shop. It sold everything from ribbons to door gifts to bunga pahar to bunga dulang to bekas bunga telur to.. well, u name it! The best thing was, it was on SALE!! wow-wee.. I love that word, SALE!!!
I kinda promised my dear fiance that we would shop for wedding stuff together.. hehe.. but the fact that it was on SALE, waaa.. i really had to get something! I decided upon some REALLY SWEET PINK BUNGA DULANG.. I've serached high and low for a bunga dulang to cost this cheap! The cheapest I've encountered before was at RM8. And this is selling at RM5.. So i bought 10 of them.. heheheh.. and got a discount lagi.. hehehe.. best la kedai nie.. i also bought some stick on tiny flowers to glue on the flower girl's baskets... Rase xpuas cuci mata at that shop... coz it was on SALE! Semua benda nak BELI, BELI, BELI...
Told my fiance about the shop. And guess what, we'll be going there again this weekend.. Yeay!!

HIV TEST
|
|
Last friday, both of us took the day off to take our HIV test. We have to had it done at a government clinic. So, we chose to take it at Klinik Komuniti Puchong Jaya. (since less people visits here..)
When we got there, we were surprised to see sooo MANY people there.. And there were also 3 couples waiting to get tested for HIV too.. hehe! We had to wait about an HOUR long just to have our fingers poke for blood.. ADOI!! Got the results half an hour later.. HIV NEGATIVE!!
Yeay, boleh kawen dah..
